Tonight was Zane's first trick-or-treating "on his own". We stood behind and let him "knock on the door" - notice the hand slapping.

Even though we practiced saying Trick-or-Treat, what came out was "I want the blue one". After about 3 houses I finally gave in and let him try the Almond Joy. At least that stopped the obsession, and we figured out he likes gray (3 Musketeers) and red (Kit Kat) more than blue.
The best part of the night was hanging out with Owen, a.k.a Curious George. The man with the yellow hat and his girlfriend were fun too! (For those of you who do not know the reference Jess and Ryan are married.)

In the future we will definitely choose to go trick-or-treating with friends again. Owen and Zane fueled each other like a match and lighter fluid. It was so cute! Lots of smiles, lots of running and "this one", "wow", and our personal favorite to hear from Owen "tic or tete".

P.S. Zane also dressed up for school on Friday. Oldie but a goody, Zane was an astronaut!
