I love being a mom because...
My child can bring the biggest smile to my face and warmth in my heart just by his laugh.
When I walk into the daycare room to pick up Zane, he comes running arms opened wide to give me a hug. (This is my favorite part of my day)
I take pride in seeing my son learn new things like reading/babbling a book to himself, saying new words (anya - banana), climbing onto the furniture and yes even using the potty.
When Zane cries in the car, I can calm him down by singing 101 different camp songs I learned over 10 years ago.
During the first part of my day, more often than not, when I awake Zane sings to me a good morning song.
When I look at my son, I not only see mine and Gusti's genes but also traits and heritage that have passed down for generations.
I know I could have never been here if my mom, and my mom's mom, and my great grandmother, and the many generations before that did not bear through lean and harsh times... and finally I understand why it is all worth it.
I love being a mom because it is the best thing that has ever happened to me!
I am amazed at all the mothers out there. Thank you all!
Happy Mother's Day,
Dianna
