Happy Thanksgiving!

The Zeiner family will be spending Thanksgiving in Reno, NV this holiday to celebrate cousin Dana's wedding. We are leaving early Thursday morning and hopefully will not get stuck in too much holiday traffic. We are sure there will be stories to tell, as always on our road trips, so we will keep you informed.

And of course... Zane is 9 months old today! It is amazing, we have finally reached the point where most of Zane's life is outside the womb. It seems like a lifetime ago when Mama Zeiner was pregnant, at least to us, but grandmothers have stated that Zane is growing up too quickly. Time becomes relative when you have a child.

Ok, so some fun facts about Zane at 9 months. Zane loves to stand on his own, pulling himself up just to stand there. He also travels around the table, walking but using the handicap of the table at all times. In addition, Zane will stretch his arms from the table to a chair and cross over to new furniture. If you hold onto one hand Zane will walk all around the house. .. so does this mean Zane is officially walking? Or does it not count until they are unassisted?

Zane is into all food these days. The pictures below is Zane enjoying Saag Paneer.

Yes, our son is into Indian Food. He loves this stuff! He also likes rice, garbanzo beans, carrots, green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, squash, ALL fruit, and pizza crust. Believe it or not, Zane is not too crazy about avocadoes, mashed potatoes and pasta (spaghetti or Mac-n-Cheese). This is Dianna's kid, right?

Zane still gets a majority of his calories from formula. He eats one lunch snack and dinner with Mom and Dad, but also enjoys ~24+oz of formula a day plus a breakfast feed from Mom. All other nursing has stopped, but it was a good 8-9 month run. Mama Zeiner is very proud of herself, but pleased the nursing sessions are ending. Zane weaned himself, except for the 6am feed, so that is this month's goal. We do not think Zane will have any difficulties, it is Mama Zeiner that is holding on.

At this age, Zane is pure joy to both of us. This is a great baby stage! Definitely a favorite so far... We will get the weight and height stats next Monday at his 9 month check up. Keep you posted.

There are a few final photos in the 6-9 month album added today. This is the first month it has happened, but we only took ~6 photos of our son this month. Wow, I guess the picture frenzy is over. Or not, since Zane's first holiday season is approaching.
