Well, I think his hair looks great! But I would not let it get too much longer. Because he is very active and you are going to have to deal with tangles. Besides going to the barber can be a bonding time for Zane and Gus. I can't get over all his teeth. This is the first recent picture I've seen that shows his precious smile.
I remember going camping to Colorado with you and when we left you had long hair. We had only been there a day or two in the 100+ heat that summer and you wanted and got your hair cut.

Too pretty. Honestly.... he is such a beautiful boy that long hair makes him look girly. Give him a cute boy cut. : )
It's funny that the Texas folk prefer a haircut and the California fam' agree that his curls are too cute to cut. Well, Zane is a California boy and he totally looks like a surfer babe... totally!
