game on

It has been a while since we have posted, but the delay was not due to a lack of material. We're just busy. The past few posts are in ass-backward order, as we were in Dallas and El Paso over the holidays to celebrate Zane's first Christmas and New Years/Mama Zeiner's Birthday. We've got a ton of pictures in the photo album, complete with captions.

Before the holidays The Dianna, The Zane and The Gus went to Reenoh (The Biggest Little City in the World) to attend Cousins Dana and Jessique's wedding:

Zane decided to wear his cheeks to the wedding:

And got to hang out with Cousin Baaaaarbara from Flaaahrida. She is a wild woman. Seriously.

After that we went to Kyle and Haley's wedding in Texas, and lost $40 on a bet. Here are the newlyweds (officially by about 20 minutes in this picture). Kyle normally looks like Grizzly Adams, but apparently lost the pelt for the wedding. If I had to kiss a guy, I think it'd be Kyle:

Here's our South Carolinianish friend Jaime (she writes childrens books and will likely catch all of my typographical errors in this post):

After this was the Zane's first Hanukah! I think Zane empathized with me as I was butchering Hebrew:

BTW, the wine in the background is Brandon's first vintage of Cab Franc (yeah, we know someone who owns a winery). Currently The Brandon works at Red Newt as their Cellarmaster, while his own vines get their grapes on. For anyone who would like to engage in a lengthy discussion about wine, I will give you Jaime's email address. She loves talking about it.

Oh yeah, and Zane walked 5 steps on 12/12! This is from the first night he walked:

One month later, he's literally running around the house chasing Vegas. Crawling is soooo 2007. Last weekend he decided that he was bored of being close to the ground, so he learned how to climb up onto the glider chair. Fortunately, Dianna was able to teach him how to get off the chair legs first, and on his tummy. Of course, now he can get out of our bed by himself. Be careful what you teach your kids.

A new era has arrived.

We are in deep shit.

Much love to all.

Thanks so much for continuing to blog. Seeing as how I feel head over heels for Zane when I met him, I am thrilled I can keep up with him now that we're "apart".

Love to you all!

And thanks, also, for the Family Photo album. Those pics are fantastic! I showed some of Zane's pics to my friend Michele - she thinks that Zane and my goddaughter Ainsley should get married. I agree! Of course, now Olivia Kate Holmes will have to be in the running, too.

XXOO, Jaime
