Zane (your vote here) Zeiner

We are going back and forth on Zane's middle name. We'd like to name him for Gus' father, who was born as Argostan. He went by the nickname "Gusti" until college, and legally changed his name to Arthur, or 'Art' for short.

We aren't sure which name to use, but we like that his initials are 'ZAZ' :-)

What do you think? Vote in the comments section.

1. Art

2. Argostan
3. Arthur

Char and Gus - I know Pam likes Arthur, and that is not bad. I prefer Art. To the point. However, I just might to vote for the nickname - Zart - in german
that means fast or quick, and I'm sure with his gene pool in place he will be both physically and mentally quick.

Zane Art Zeiner = Zart Zeiner = ZZ

Baby, your the tops.

Love ya, Grandpa V.

I like Argostan, but Arthur is nice too. In any case, I'm looking forward to meeting the little guy!

I like the middle name to be "Argoston". It sounds good.

I vote for Arthur for several reasons. Art is only 1 syllable unless I'm saying it and then it becomes 2 or 3 syllables and since Zane is 1 syllable I think Arthur sounds better. After teaching school for 28 years I can promise he will be called Art the F--- and you know how I feel about the F word. Last, one of my favorite series of children's books are the Arthur books by Marc Brown. Never ask for my opinion unless you really want it. Love Grandma Pam

I'm biased. Arthur is my middle name. And a fine name it is.

I will have to go with Argostan. a) it is not a common name and sounds regal and he could also get really coool nicknames like "Argostan the Argonaut", "Argostan the Astronaut", or "Argostan the Adventurous." Or somethin like that. Plus the shortened version, "Gusti," is pretty cool. Better yet, the initials stay ZAZ.

I like Art for the middle name. Zane Art Zeiner flows really well. : )

Personally I think you should consider "Mel", but Art works for me.

I vote Arthur for the reason that my mother did. My childhood best guy friend Hart was given the name Hart the Fart at an early age and I believe Art would beckon the same response. But it really doesn't matter because I plan on calling him Little Pig and he will call me Bacon Bits, http://youtube.com/watch?v=-2WUGrXeg6k

I like Argostan. It is a family name plus he could drop it to Stan if so inclined. Or Argos, which sounds rather like a Greek god. That is sure to be a babe-magnet :)
